The Presidential Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans was established by Executive Order 14050. The commission consists of 21 members appointed by President Biden on April 21,2023 and is chaired by Rep. Malcom Kenyatta. Press release and biographies of commissioners can be found here.

Commission Meetings

October 26 – 27, 2023 – Inaugural Meeting, Washington, DC

April 4 -5, 2024 – Commission Meeting, Philadelphia, PA

The next Commission meeting will occur on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm and Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11 am – 3 pm Eastern in Philadelphia, PA. An RSVP is required in order to attend the meeting in-person and/or virtually. RSVPs for both meeting days were due at 5:00 p.m. E.D.T. on March 31, 2024. Members of the public that submitted RSVPs received information on how to attend the meeting virtually or in-person as indicated on their registration.
