Inaugural Meeting of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans

On Thursday, October 26, the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans convened the inaugural meeting of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans. Commissioners appointed by President Joe Biden met at the White House in Washington, D.C.  On Friday, October 27, the Commissioners met at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. The inaugural meeting included the swearing in of the commissioners, presentations from federal leaders and national subject matter experts on topics related to the Initiative’s executive order, and discussion around next steps towards advancing commissioners’ duties as outlined by Executive Order 14050. View the recordings for Day 1 and Day 2.
