S.T.E.M. Cluster
Science, Tecnology, Engineering and Mathematics
PURPOSE
The Interagency STEM Cluster, aligned with the White House STEMM Opportunity Alliance (SOA) and the Department of Education’s YOU Belong in STEM initiatives, seeks to be a repository of resources with the focus of depicting the multi-facets and attributes of STEM. Collaborating representatives aim to be a conduit to engage, educate, and guide students in STEM-based studies, while connecting anchor institutions to anchor communities. The initiative places value in immersing HBCU students pursuing STEM-based disciplines in engaging, academic, mentoring, and career-enhancing experiences. With efforts toward recruitment, assistance, and retention of talent and interest in STEM, this group’s contributions will prioritize leading students to leverage real world practices from volunteerism and explored options to expand their knowledge.
