The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX), a fully-funded fellowship opportunity, is currently accepting applications from your students for the 2018-2019 program year.
Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) is a year-long fellowship that gives your students and recent graduates the opportunity to study and work in Germany. CBYX for Young Professionals is open to students in all fields of study and at all levels of study, including graduating students. CBYX is funded by the US and German governments through a grant provided by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, under the authority of the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961, as amended. More information and the online application can be found at www.CBYX.info.
The CBYX program annually provides up to 75 participants with two months of intensive German language training, a semester of study at a German university or university of applied sciences, a five-month internship with a German company in the participants’ career field, and homestays with German host families. The program covers transatlantic airfare, health insurance, and monthly living expense stipends, and provides local in-country support throughout the program.
Prior German language knowledge is not required. Applicants should have clear career goals and some relevant work experience in their fields, which may include summer, part-time, or internship work. Participants must be between the ages of 18-24, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be U.S. citizens.
Please inform your students of this unique opportunity by hanging the enclosed poster. Should you require more promotional materials, or if you would like CBYX for Young Professionals alumni to visit your college and give a presentation on the program to your students, please feel free to contact me.
Interested applicants can apply online at www.CBYX.info. The application deadline for the 2018-2019 program is December 1, 2017. We look forward to receiving applications from your students! For a more detailed overview of the program, I invite you to attend our CBYX Informational Webinar on October 23rd at 1:30 pm EST. RSVP to email@example.com.
As an alternative to CBYX, if you have current sophomores and juniors who are interested in interning abroad who haven’t participated in a formal work or study abroad program, we encourage them to apply for the Cultural Vistas Fellowship. More information about this program can be found online: www.culturalvistas.org/cvfellowship.
We look forward to your participation!
