A Commitment to Inclusive Employment

The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation’s (CSAVR) National Employment Team (the NET), in partnership with CVS Health, a business at the forefront of building an inclusive workplace for individuals with disabilities, released a new video on recruiting, training and employing individuals with disabilities. OSERS highlighted one of the employees featured in the video this past October in a blog during National Disability Employment Awareness Month, “The Dual Customer: Individuals with Disabilities and Business.”

In this video, you will see vignettes told from the perspective of both vocational rehabilitation (VR) customers, the candidates, employees and the business. There are a number of employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences featured in the video that were supported by VR agencies across the country. The video highlights some of the great work that VR is doing with business at the local, state and national level.

The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services’ Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) recognizes the importance of serving the Dual Customer — providing high-quality VR services to help individuals with disabilities maximize their employment opportunities and effectively engaging the business community. RSA encourages VR programs across the country to share their Dual Customer success stories.
