The Legacy of HBCUs: A Juneteenth Celebration   Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 1:00 – 1:30 pm ET  

HBCUs are a source of accomplishment and great pride for the African American community as well as the entire nation. In this webinar, we will hear about the legacy of HBCUs, from the first institution founded before the civil war to efforts today to provide our colleges and universities with the support they need to thrive and succeed. We will also learn about the history of 1890 land-grant institutions, a designated set of HBCUs that that receive federal funds to support teaching, research and extension intended to serve underserved communities.
