Webinar: Promoting Mental Health Supports for Educators of Color

In recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month, the U.S. Department of Education invites you to join our next webinar, Promoting Mental Health Supports for Educators of Color on Tuesday, May 30 at 3pm ET/12pm PT.

In this webinar, we will hear about recent data and what it tells us about the mental health of our educators, with special attention to research findings on the experiences of educators of color.  This session will also highlight how states and districts are prioritizing educators’ mental health needs. Finally, attendees will hear a special presentation from the Rev. Dr. Thema Bryant, President of the American Psychological Association, on hope, encouragement, and healing.

This event is hosted by the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans; White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics; White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Native Americans and Strengthening Tribal Colleges and Universities; White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities; and the Department’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
