Welcome to the U.S. Department of Education’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, one of the 13 federal agency offices under the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. We work to promote student-driven education through engagement with faith leaders and organizations, both faith-based and community-focused.
Our primary goals are to:
• Provide resources, information, and collaboration opportunities for faith leaders and organizations, both faith-based and/or community-focused.
• Engage community-focused organizations, both secular and faith‐based, in building a culture that champions additional public and private school choices for all America’s children, multiple pathways to successful careers, innovation and expansion in STEM Education, and support for opioid abuse prevention.
• Develop and support initiatives within the federal government to help maximize the education contributions of community-based organizations, including faith and interfaith organizations.
Please note: The Center does not make funding decisions, which are made through procedures established by each departmental grant program – typically involving a competitive process. All applicants compete on an equal basis for department funds.
