Priority 3: Accelerate Academic Achievement
My child is engaged and excelling academically
We want every student engaged and excelling academically in the 2022-2023 school year and beyond. Here are some steps you can take to help accelerate students’ academic achievement:
- Reengage disconnected youth
- Identify gaps in academic opportunity
- Invest in evidence-based strategies to address lost instructional time, especially for students most impacted by the pandemic
- Invest in high-quality career and technical education to create high-school-to college-to-career-pathways
- Invest in educators, including building a diverse teacher pipeline and ensure teachers at high-need schools are paid competitively
- Invest in early learning opportunities, such as high-quality preschool
