Carmine Perrotti, Special Assistant for Strategic Operations

Carmine Perrotti joined the Obama Administration in the spring of 2010 as an intern in the Office of the First Lady at The White House. In the summer of 2011 Carmine continued working with the Office of the First Lady as an advance team member planning site logistics, and organizing press and motorcade to support the First Lady at events across the country. In December 2011, he joined the Department of Education as Confidential Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education. Carmine currently serves as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Education. In this role he serves as a right-hand and confident to the Under Secretary. Carmine is from Connecticut and holds his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Public & Community Service Studies from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, where he also met his wife. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from American University in Washington, D.C.
